Summary

President Joko Widodo and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong agreed to strengthen and expand cooperation during their meeting at the 7th Singapore-Indonesia Leader's Retreat at the Presidential Palace in Bogor on Monday, Apr. 29. According to Jokowi, the first area of collaboration will be in politics and defense, specifically the implementation of the Re-alignment Flight Information Region (FIR) agreement. "We welcome the successful implementation of the FIR and extradition agreements, and we need to ensure that these are fully realized," he stated.

Another area of cooperation, according to Jokowi, lies in the economic sector, including investment opportunities in textile manufacturing at Kendal Industrial Park (KIP), green economy through sustainable infrastructure, and the development of a data center in Nongsa, Batam.

Jokowi also expressed appreciation for 29 Singaporean companies' enthusiasm for their commitment to investment and support for constructing a Solar Power Plant in the new capital city, IKN Nusantara. "The plan to export electricity to Singapore is being pushed forward, including investments supporting green industries. In food security, we agreed to promote technology transfer and exchange scientific and technological knowledge in food processing," Jokowi said.
