How Much Investment Prabowo Needs to Achieve 2025 Growth?
The Ministry of National Development Planning revealed that Indonesia needs a total physical investment realization (Gross Fixed Capital Formation/GFCF) of Rp 7,417 trillion by 2025. Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs at the Ministry of National Development Planning, Amalia Adininggar, stated that this is necessary to support Indonesia's economic growth target for the following year, set within the range of 5.3 percent to 5.6 percent. "Certainly, the largest support comes from the private sector," she said, as quoted on Tuesday, Apr. 23.
To support this investment realization, the government plans to target foreign direct investment (FDI) and domestic direct investment (DDI) in the range of Rp 1,858.2 trillion to Rp 1,906 trillion. This target represents an increase of about 15 percent from this year's target of Rp 1,650 trillion and a surge of around 34 percent from last year's realization of Rp 1,418.9 trillion.
