Pre-Nusantara Move: Jakarta's Premier Assets Hit the Market

Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir offered 13 assets of state-owned companies located around the National Monument (Monas) area in Central Jakarta to Hong Kong entrepreneurs as part of a roadshow in Hong Kong at the end of March.

Erick explained that this also supports PT Danareksa's plan to launch a Property Fund. The Property Fund will oversee SOE assets around Monas for value creation. Erick does not want these buildings neglected after the government moves to the new capital, IKN Nusantara, in East Kalimantan.

"There are 13 SOE assets around Monas. Those are the ones around it, 13 if I'm not mistaken. If expanded, it could be 18. If the government moves [to IKN Nusantara], these buildings will be neglected," Erick said last week.
