Bloomberg's report on Feb 28 revealed that four individuals are under consideration by Prabowo for this crucial role in his prospective cabinet: Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, Mahendra Siregar, and Royke Tumilaar. According to Bloomberg's sources, Prabowo sees these four figures as fitting candidates for the finance minister role due to their financial expertise and leadership capabilities.

Furthermore, it is reported that Prabowo intends to make the finance minister position immune to political bargaining. This decision is grounded in the belief that the role requires a meticulous and adept professional capable of managing the state budget. Prabowo also seeks an individual capable of accommodating his campaign programs while ensuring prudent fiscal management.
