Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast is set to unveil its products at the 2024 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS 2024). Tran Quoc Huy, Chief Executive Officer of VinFast Indonesia, revealed a committed investment of US$200 million to establish a manufacturing facility that offers eco-friendly transportation options in Indonesia. "We aspire to inspire the market to explore the boundless potential of the future of modern and sustainable mobility," he stated, as quoted on Feb 11.

Tran outlined VinFast's plans to construct an EV plant with a production capacity of up to 50,000 units annually, intending to export its products to various countries. He highlighted that VinFast incorporates battery recycling facilities for each EV unit. Among the VinFast products already launched in Vietnam are the VF 8 and VF 9 models. Tran emphasized that Indonesia is poised to become a key market in VinFast's development strategy.
