Indonesia to Employ Administrative Automation in IKN Nusantara
Indonesia's Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas is spearheading the process of relocating civil servants to the Nusantara National Capital City (IKN Nusantara). According to him, the preparations encompass personnel and governance aspects. "In the short term, our focus is on institutional and civil servants relocation, along with enhancing government operations through digital work patterns," he stated on Jan 23.
Abdullah outlined five phases for the transfer of public services to IKN Nusantara:
- Phase One (2020-2024): Construction of governance miniature, emphasizing the effectiveness of governance in IKN Nusantara through digital work patterns.
- Phase Two (2025-2029): Development of shared offices in IKN Nusantara to establish a smart government.
- Phase Three (2030-2039): Development of an agile government, transforming IKN Nusantara into a smart city and digital center for various government sectors.
- Phase Four (2035-2039): Construction of a smart city for Industry 4.0, involving the addition of digital amenities and urban features for implementing digital government, leveraging artificial intelligence (Industry 4.0).
- Phase Five (2040-2045): Establishment of a smart city with artificial intelligence, embodying the concept of Society 5.0 and a citizen-centric government.
