Media Partner Asia (MPA) Research identifies Vidio as the leading video-on-demand (VoD) platform with the highest premium subscribers in Indonesia. In their "Asia Pacific Video & Broadband Industry 2024" report, MPA asserts that Vidio boasts over 4 million premium subscribers, surpassing Viu, Disney+ Hotstar, and Netflix.

Overall, MPA highlights that the video content industry in the Asia Pacific region generated a revenue of US$145 billion in 2023 and is projected to grow to US$165 billion by 2028. The video industry has a significant shift from television to online platforms. One business segment propelled by this trend is SVOD (Subscription Video-On-Demand). "Following a slump in the second quarter of 2023, the Indonesian SVOD market rebounded with sustained demand, driven by sports, local, and Korean content," Vivek Couto, CEO of MPA, said on Dec 21.
