PT DCI Indonesia Tbk is set to construct a data center infrastructure in Indonesia with a total capacity of 82 megawatts, scalable up to 1,000 megawatts. Toto Sugiri, President Director of DCI Indonesia, has announced plans to develop an artificial intelligence (AI) data center.

He highlighted that this move aligns with the company's mission to advance the cloud market, digital platforms, enterprise solutions, and AI. "DCI has undertaken several long-term sustainable projects, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency through AI implementation and the utilization of renewable energy," Toto said on Dec 13.

Toto emphasized that DCI holds a vision to support the sustainable growth of digital infrastructure. Budi Arie Setiadi, Indonesia's Minister of Communications and Information Technology, mentioned that domestic entrepreneurs have opportunities to foster the national data center industry. "The government is open to collaborative initiatives for developing Indonesia's data center ecosystem, whether through policy reinforcement or other related efforts," he stated.
