Debate on VP Candidate Between Golkar, PAN Lingers in Prabowo’ Camp

A highly dynamic movement is currently at play within the Indonesia Advance Coalition led by the Gerindra Party. Erick Thohir, whose name is currently the main topic of discussion between the political party leaders, was challenged by the Golkar Party.
Golkar, which sees a slimmer chance to name Airlangga Hartarto as Prabowo’s vice-president candidate, has reportedly invited Gibran to join the party so Golkar could name him as Prabowo’s running pair. A political detour that was tailored to block PAN’s intention to name Erick Thohir.
Gibran himself denied if there was an invitation from Golkar. He also denied that he had gained a clearance letter from the police as a sign that he would participate at the upcoming presidential election.
“I am still here and not going anywhere,” Gibran said.
