Norway Finally Nods on RI’ JETP Acceleration Scheme
Indonesia and Norway are exploring renewable energy business cooperation. This collaboration will accelerate the realization of Norway's investment contribution commitment within the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) framework worth US$250 million for Indonesia's decarbonization process. Norway is one of the countries committed to funding Indonesia's JETP, which was announced at the G20 meeting in Bali in November 2022.
During a visit by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to Norway on Oct 9-12, Indonesian Ambassador to Norway Teuku Faizasyah said there was a meeting between Bluebird Group and PT Semesta Energi from Indonesia and Norwegian companies Tinfos, Release by Scatec, Fred Olsen Renewables, Norconsult, and Ocean Sun. "The meeting was followed up with a planned visit to Indonesia to see the location and conduct a feasibility study," Teuku said on Oct 15.
