Jokowi Advised to Quit Political Game Before All Hell Breaks Loose

The two-day gathering was initially designed to capture national figures like President Joko Widodo, Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto and Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka in one frame, thus strengthening the image that Jokowi himself had supported the gathering.

However, the gathering turned out to be adjusted to the last-minute preparation. Prabowo and his Gerindra Party entourage did not show up at the event, which was organized at the Indonesia Arena in Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on Saturday.

After finishing his speech, that still expecting the volunteers to be patient in waiting for his signal of political support, Jokowi signed off from the event. Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who came earlier than Jokowi, had left the place before Jokowi’s coming. The organizers then asked volunteers to go to Prabowo’s private residence at Kertanegara Street since the declaration of Projo’s political support to Prabowo.

The declaration was supposedly conducted at the Indonesia Arena but then moved to Prabowo’s private residence.
