RI Conglomerates Lead New Capital City Development: Salim Group Joins
Salim Group, alongside Agung Sedayu Group and Asian Agri, is ready to embark on a series of projects within the National Capital (IKN) of Nusantara, East Kalimantan.
Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia said that Anthoni Salim, head of Salim Group, is set to initiate groundbreaking ceremonies for various Nusantara developments in September 2023. These projects include hotels, restaurants, malls, and meeting spaces.
According to Bahlil, these projects are aligned with President Joko Widodo's vision to realize the Independence Day celebration in IKN Nusantara next year.
"There will be hotels, meeting spaces, and restaurants to ensure that the Aug 17, 2024 ceremony can take place there," he said on Wednesday.
However, Bahlil did not unveil the investment value of Salim Group or other entrepreneurs. He emphasized that their involvement dispels any notion that there is a lack of interest from investors in the IKN Nusantara project.
