Sinar Mas to Build RI's First Integrated Solar Cell and Module Factory

Sinar Mas, through its subsidiary PT Daya Sukses Makmur Selaras, an indirect subsidiary of PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA), in partnership with PT Agra Surya Energi and Trina Solar, is embarking on Indonesia's first integrated solar cell and module manufacturing plant project.
Operated by PT Trina Mas Agra Indonesia, the factory will have an initial production capacity of 1 gigawatt peak (GWp) per year. It will be located in the Kendal Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Central Java and will employ the latest i-TOPCon cell and module technology. The investment value exceeds US$100 million.
"We hope that the solar panel production chain in our country continues to strengthen, so that in the future, the products produced become more competitive and of better quality. This is crucial as the market opportunities remain wide open,” Lokita Prasetya, Vice President Director of PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk, stated during the factory groundbreaking on Monday.
