Summary

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has joined hands with the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA) to develop an integrated railway and logistics ecosystem in Indonesia.

This collaboration has been formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by KAI's President Director Didiek Hartantyo and PSA International's Regional Chief Executive Officer Ong Kim Pong on Friday.

According to Didiek, the collaboration aims to stimulate connectivity integration via an efficient and sustainable multimodal transportation network in Indonesia. KAI and PSA will work hand in hand, from feasibility studies to investments in railway infrastructure.

This encompasses shared management and operations in global logistics services, rail-based container terminals, and door-to-door multimodal freight services. "This collaboration is expected to merge our existing networks with global connectivity," Didiek said.
