RI Eyes Electricity Connectivity with Brunei, M’sia, and Philippines

The government and the Indonesia Business Energy Forum are exploring opportunities for electricity connectivity partnerships with Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
This includes electricity connectivity sourced from renewable energy. Secretary-General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Dadan Kusdiana said that the partnership would be tailored to support energy resilience in the Southeast Asian region.
"We will engage in activities that we can carry out immediately, considering those in need of electricity, and this partnership is organized in the context of enhancing various resources," Dadan said during the 41st edition of the ASEAN Energy Ministers Meeting and the ASEAN Energy Business Forum in Nusa Dua, Bali, on Thursday.
ASEAN Energy Business Forum 2023 Chairman Andy Tirta mentioned that electricity connectivity opens up investment opportunities in Southeast Asia, particularly in the clean energy sector.
"So, this is genuine cooperation; the sources are available, the market exists, and for investors, this isn't a difficult thing to sell," Andy said.
