Cipta Selera Murni Shuts Down Texas Chicken Outlets

PT Cipta Selera Murni Tbk (CSMI) is shutting down all of its Texas Chicken outlets following the termination of the franchise contract with Texas Chicken brand owner Cajun Global LLC.

In the disclosure of information to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Wednesday, CSMI's management said the partnership with Cajun Global LLC had already ended on Mar 14.

In line with the end of the agreement, CSMI's Texas Chicken outlet closure has been underway since Feb 28. "CSMI can no longer use the Texas Chicken brand," CSMI director Radino Miharjo said.

He also revealed Cajun, as the Texas Chicken licensee, has written off CSMI's royalty debts and initial fees. The franchise partnership termination requires CSMI to close all its Texas Chicken operations in Indonesia.
