2024 State Budget Sees Government Larger Spending on IKN
The 2024 State Budget Draft (RAPBN) proposes a 6.5 percent increase in state spending to Rp 2,446.5 trillion.
Finance Minister Sri Mulyani said the higher expenditure was mainly driven by the development of two major projects: the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) and the National Strategic Project (PSN).
“The central government spending has increased quite significantly,” Sri Mulyani said on Wednesday.
Apart from PSN and IKN, she said that by 2024 the government hopes to complete various priority programs such as reducing extreme poverty, reducing and preventing stunting, and holding general elections.
