Nongsa Digital Park Gears Up to Facilitate Data Center Business Growth
The number of planned data centers at Nongsa Digital Park is steadily increasing. In February, Princeton Digital Group (PDG), an Asia-based data center provider, revealed its intention to construct a substantial 96 MW data center within the park. This development implies that more than three data centers are set to take shape within the area.
Alongside PDG's data center, Nongsa Digital Park is poised to host a data center belonging to GDS IDC Service, a subsidiary of GDS Holdings Limited. GDS Holdings Limited specializes in providing Internet data services to major companies within the banking and telecommunications sectors across China and Southeast Asia.
Furthermore, the Indonesian government will also establish the Indonesian National Data Center on the premises, alongside "Nongsa One," a data center owned by Data Center First. Data Center First operates as a joint venture backed by the real estate private equity firm Gaw Capital Partners, headquartered in Hong Kong.
Last year reports indicated that eleven land plots at Nongsa Digital Park were earmarked for data center installations, fueled by both domestic and foreign investor interest. To capitalize on this opportunity, Nongsa Digital Park has forged strategic partnerships to cater to the significant water and electricity requirements of the data centers.
