PT Indika Energy Tbk (INDY), through its subsidiary PT Energi Makmur Buana (EMB), launched the INVI electric bus at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show on Aug 11, 2023.

“INVI will be part of Indika Energy’s spirit in developing the commercial sector of the electric vehicle industry and its supporting infrastructure,” Indika Energy Vice President Director Aziz Armand said.

Through INVI, Indika Energy runs the electric bus business under the KG Mobility (KGM) brand. This electric bus can travel more than 350 kilometers with a capacity of up to 320 kilowatts (kW).

It has been operated by Perum Damri at the airport, and one other unit is being tested to become a TransJakarta fleet. INVI will produce ten new electric buses for public transportation needs.

“We are working with one of the local bodybuilders to make this electric bus,” EMB Chief Financial Officer Tammam Jannata said.
