IDN Media Scoops Up Saweria, a Stellar Site for Content Stars

IDN Media has reportedly acquired Saweria, a payment platform for content creators and live-streamers.

According to DealStreetAsia and Tech In Asia, the acquisition plan would change Saweria’s management.

The founders of Saweria, including Theo Budiyanto, will no longer be involved in the startup’s development. The process of acquiring Saweria by IDN Media has been completed since July 2023.

However, there has been no response from IDN Media’s management or Saweria regarding this information.

Previously, IDN Media CEO Winston Utomo stated that his company was preparing to expand its sources of income from the entertainment and live-streaming industries. “Including from content creators,” Winston said.
