Calypte Holding, CGN Energy Build Rp 19.6 Tln PLTS in Riau

The Riau Provincial Government, along with China's Calypte Holding and Singapore's CGN Energy International Holding Co Limited, has reached an agreement for collaborative efforts in the construction of both a 1,000-megawatt (MW) solar power plant (PLTS) and a 500-MW combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant in Bengkalis Regency.

The combined investment for these projects reaches Rp 19.6 trillion and is expected to commence in June 2024, with a targeted completion date in 2027.

"This signifies remarkable value and a significant commitment from our end, establishing Indonesia as a role model within ASEAN for the large-scale development of renewable energy," Calypte Holding Executive Chairman Iskandar said on Friday.
