Summary

Princeton Digital Group (PDG) agreed to power one of its Indonesian data centers with electricity from a mixed fuel plant after signing a multi-year energy contract with PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk (CL).

According to the agreement, Cikarang Listrindo will power the 20 percent capacity of PDG's 30-MW Cibitung Data Center using the electricity generated from its biomass-based combined cycle power plant starting this month. The power will be sourced from CL's Babelan plant. PDG will be the energy provider's first data center client.

CFPP Babelan has two primary generation units, each with a capacity of 140 MW, and the CFB boiler technology. The plant is primarily coal-fired but can also work with syngas from biomass.

"Renewable energy plays a pivotal role in decarbonization. We are taking meaningful steps to ensure that we are progressing, not only our sustainability commitment but also working towards Indonesia's clean energy transition goals as we build the future data centers," PDG Indonesia managing director Stephanus Tumbelaka said.
