BTWICE Taps into Indonesian Electric Vehicle Component Market

Spain-based electric vehicle engineering company BTWICE is venturing into Indonesia by establishing a component production facility.

BTWICE Co-Founder Alex Ballesta said the company intends to bring technicians from Catalonia, Spain, to transfer technology and skills to industry players in Indonesia. "We believe electric motorcycles can revolutionize transportation in Indonesia," he said on Tuesday.

Since 2017, BTWICE has developed strong ties with the Indonesian market and collaborated with several local brands to advance electric motorcycles.

BTWICE's Chief Technology Officer Boris Sánchez said that the partnership has the potential to enhance local manufacturing capabilities. "Simultaneously, it fosters job creation and technology exchange while promoting the growth of the electric vehicle industry in Indonesia," Sánchez added.
