Astra Injects US$100 Mln in Halodoc

PT Astra Digital International, a subsidiary of PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), pumped US$100 million into healthtech platform PT Media Dokter Investama or Halodoc in a Series D funding round. "Astra's total investment [in Halodoc] after the Series D funding round has reached US$135 million," Astra international president director Djony Bunarto Tjondro said on Friday.

According to Djony, the company believes that the prospect of the healthcare sector is very good and that Halodoc's integrated and solid services can answer the people's needs. Halodoc co-founder Jonathan Sudharta claimed that Halodoc's solutions in meeting an increasing demand for quality and accessible healthcare services after the COVID-19 pandemic have been excellent.
