Summary

Peeba, a Hong Kong-based company that helps small retailers access thousands of top brands online, will open a branch in Indonesia. The news reported by DealStreetAsia on Tuesday stated that Indonesia is Peeba’s first expansion destination in Southeast Asia.

Peeba Chief Executive Officer Jacky Lai said his company empowers small online and offline retailers to compete with big retailers. “We are committed to helping small businesses grow and succeed,” Lai said.

Lai also said Peeba’s latest move in Indonesia was to introduce more local brands and enable overseas companies to market unique products from Indonesia. This strategy will help local brands gain traction overseas, he said.

“Peeba aims to level the playing field for small retailers by giving them access to thousands of top brands online with no up-front inventory costs. At the same time, we also help increase their sales in a completely new market,” Lai said.
