Hutahaean Group Invest Rp 600 Bln in Lake Toba Hotel Project
Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno stated that the super-priority tourism destination (DPSP) Lake Toba in North Sumatra recorded an investment realization of Rp 600 billion in the first half of this year. "The green investment in Lake Toba is for several hotels," Sandiaga explained in Jakarta.
Meanwhile, Mandalika in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) attracted a total investment realization of US$541.2 million from both domestic investment (PMDN) and foreign investment (PMA).
In addition, Likupang in North Sulawesi achieved an impressive investment realization of US$484.29 million.
The Borobudur Temple destination in Central Java saw an investment realization of US$366.63 million, while Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) secured US$114.2 million in investment.
Minister Sandiaga highlighted the government's commitment to distribute investments evenly across the five super priority tourism destinations (DPSP) through the ministry’s programs to be implemented.
Previously, Sandiaga set a target of attracting US$6-8 billion (approximately Rp 89 trillion-Rp 119 trillion assuming Rp 14,900 per US dollar) of investment for the tourism and creative economy sectors in Indonesia.
These investments are expected to create 4.4 million new jobs by 2024.
