The government halted the limited operational trial of the Jakarta-Bogor-Depok-Bekasi Light Rail Transit (Jabodebek LRT), scheduled to take place from Jul 17 to 20.

This decision was made following an Evaluation Meeting on Jul 15 by the Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation. “There are several improvements that need to be implemented, particularly in the software system,” Director General of Railways Risal Wasal said.

Once the software update is completed, the operator will conduct a trial run before reopening to the public. This step is being taken to ensure a smoother trial experience. “Trial run is scheduled for Jul 21-23, followed by a limited operational trial for invited participants on Jul 25, and the public trial on Jul 29,” Risal mentioned.
