OYO Capitalizes Tourism Recovery to Add 500 Properties
The global property rental platform OYO plans to increase its presence in Indonesia by adding 500 properties by the end of this year.
OYO is taking advantage of the economic recovery and the revival of the tourism sector in Indonesia following the COVID-19 pandemic to further expand its operations.
OYO's expansion plans encompass a wide range of business and tourist destinations, including Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi (Jabodetabek), Bandung, Karawang, Cirebon, Yogyakarta, Sleman, Semarang, Surabaya, Malang, and Batu. Additionally, OYO targets super-priority tourism destinations, including Mandalika in West Nusa Tenggara.
The company also recognizes the potential of other emerging tourist destinations in eastern Indonesia, such as Raja Ampat in Papua, Bunaken National Park in North Sulawesi, and Wakatobi in Southeast Sulawesi. "OYO's plans for 2023 reflect our long-term growth strategy in Indonesia. By leveraging technology-based products, we aim to assist property owners in efficiently managing their businesses," Hendro Tan, Country Operations Head of OYO Indonesia, said on Thursday.
