ExxonMobil Discovers 125 MMBO Reserves in Cepu Block

Summary

The Upstream Oil and Gas Business Regulatory Task Force (SKK Migas) and ExxonMobil Cepu Ltd are preparing to drill five carbonate infill wells and one exploration well specifically targeting clastic layers in the Banyu Urip Field of the Cepu Block.

Infill wells are typically drilled between existing wells. "Currently, we are procuring long lead items such as pipes, and the preparations for exploring the clastic layer are underway," Head of SKK Migas Dwi Soetjipto said on Monday.

SKK Migas aims to commence production from the five carbonate infill wells and an exploration well for the clastic layer in the fourth quarter of 2024.
