Chinese Company to Erect Glass Elevator at Kelingking Beach

Summary

A Chinese investor will team up with PT Bina Nusa Properti (BNP) and Banjar Adat of Karang Dawa to erect a 180-meter glass viewing platform at Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida, Bali.

For the record, Kelingking Beach is touted as one of the best beaches in the world in 2023, according to the Travelers' Choice Awards by TripAdvisor.

With the glass lift, tourists no longer need to walk down a steep cliff to reach the clean white coast of the beach. The lift's construction work started on July 7.

"Tourists, when visiting Kelingking Beach, usually want to reach the coast. However, because of the steep terrain, sometimes tourists can only take photos from above," Bungamekar Village head I Wayan Yasa.

Meanwhile, PT BNP director I Komang Suantara said the required investment for the construction of the glass lift would be around Rp 200 billion.
