PT Indika Energy Tbk (INDY) plans to build a factory for electric buses and trucks after launching the Alva One and Alva Cervo electric motorcycles. According to INDY President Director Arsjad Rasjid, the company will collaborate with European partners to develop electric buses and trucks. “We will build an electric vehicle ecosystem from upstream to downstream,” Arsjad said.

As part of its electric vehicle ecosystem development, Indika Energy will build a factory for electric buses and trucks after constructing a bauxite processing facility.

Bauxite is one of the raw materials for electric vehicle components. The company is also considering a battery recycling system to reduce waste and minimize new mining activities. “We have formed a holding for the electric vehicle ecosystem,” he said.
