Roatex Stands by MLFF Technology, Aims to Meet Revised Deadline

PT Roatex Indonesia Toll System (RITS), a Roatex Ltd Zte Hungary subsidiary, is working on finishing the multi-lane free-flow (MLFF) project as soon as possible. The Hungarian Government supports this strategic project, a partnership between Hungary and Indonesia.
The project, worth US$300 million and funded by the Hungarian Government, is the largest technology transfer export in Hungary's modern economy.
"We believe that the MLFF, a national strategic project, can boost economic development and accelerate Indonesia's goal to become the world's fourth-largest economic power in 2045," Hungarian Ambassador to Indonesia Lilla Karsay said in a meeting with some national media editors in Jakarta on Thursday.
RITS President Director Attila Keszeg said the project with a Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Transfer (DBFOT) scheme and a nine-year concession period would make Indonesia one of Southeast Asia's most advanced toll payment technology users.
"The project financing scheme uses tariff fees paid by toll road users as a project settlement tool, so it doesn't use any party's money in Indonesia when the project is implemented," Attila said.
