Summary

Indonesia’s first renewable energy Regional Owned Company (BUMD) will be established in the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province. The Bio-CNG factory project in Lombok is a collaboration between NTB, PT Kaltimex Energy, and PT Mitsui Indonesia.

NTB Governor Zulkieflimansyah said the company was the result of the province efforts to achieve Net Zero Emissions by 2050, as part of the province’s renewables commitment.

“We have succeeded. On August 17, Mitsui from Japan and their partners will start the construction of renewable energy here,” Zulkieflimansyah said after meeting with Kaltimex Energy and Mitsui Indonesia on Monday.
