Six Candidates Up To OJK Boards Selection Final Round

The Selection Committee of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Board of Commissioners Members has officially submitted six candidates' names to President Joko Widodo.
These candidates are intended to fill two new positions on the OJK board: the Chief Executive Supervisor for Venture Capital Company Financing Institutions, Microfinance Institutions, and Other Financial Services Institutions; and the Chief Executive Supervisor for Financial Sector Technology Innovation, Digital Financial Assets, and Cryptocurrencies.
The President will choose four candidates among them to undergo a fit and proper test at the House of Representatives. The President has until June 16 to send the names of his preferred candidates to the House.
"However, he stated his intention to promptly scrutinize all six names that were submitted," Selection Committee Chairwoman Sri Mulyani Indrawati said at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday.
According to regulations, the House has 45 days to conduct the fit and proper test. Consequently, there will be two candidates selected by the end of July or, at the latest, in early August.
