Summary

PT Roatex Indonesia toll System (RITS) canceled the trial of the multi-lane free-flow (MLFF) toll system, originally scheduled to start on June 1, 2023, at the Mandara Toll Road in Bali. Former RITS President Director Musfihin Dahlan said this cancellation comes as a result of a disagreement between the directors of Roatex Ltd Zte Hungary and its subsidiary in Indonesia which operates the system,

Musfihin explained that the differences in perspectives emerged during the development and implementation process of the MLFF system. He acknowledged that he was removed from his position on May 22 and replaced by Attila Keszeg, whom Roatex Hungary appointed.

Musfihin said that Roatex Hungary aimed to implement the MLFF system in a similar manner to European countries, without customization. “They expect the Ministry of Public Works, the police, and other entities to adhere strictly to their rules; it’s impossible,” Musfihin said on Tuesday.
