Lombok Awaits Korean Investors' Seriousness to Build Ampenan Port

The Mataram City Government is awaiting a commitment from Total Solution Intelligent, a South Korean investor, regarding the construction of an international port in Ampenan. Total Solution has promised to hold talks with the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial Government to discuss the continuation of the revitalization plan for Ampenan Harbour. 

The meeting between the potential investors and the NTB Provincial Government will take place at the Office of Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP) of NTB Province. Mataram City is taking this opportunity to question the seriousness of the investors. 

"We demand clarity. We will also highlight the fact that there was an initial plan for the construction of Ampenan Harbour in 2012, but it did not materialize," Head of Mataram City DPMPTSP H Amiruddin said. One of the reasons for the delay is the absence of land reclamation for the designated location of Ampenan Harbour.

Amir further mentioned that the investor expressed a desire to meet with Mataram Mayor Mohan Roliskana. However, Amir proposed postponing the meeting. "It would be preferable for the investor to first clarify their plan to conduct a feasibility study [FS], then we can proceed with discussions," he said.
