French, Chinese, and Korean Investors Interested in West Aceh Projects

Summary

Foreign investors from France, South Korea, and China are reportedly interested in several projects in West Aceh Regency, Aceh. West Aceh acting regent Mahdi Efendi said he would welcome anyone who wants to invest in West Aceh.

"They are interested in healthcare, waste management, energy, technology, tourism, and other sectors," he said after a virtual meeting entitled "Rebranding Aceh's Development and Economy as a Tourism Center" with the Aceh provincial secretary, district heads, and representatives of foreign companies last week.

West Aceh will follow the plan to construct a trash power plant and exploit fishery potential. “Trash is now a problem that we need to take seriously. We are trying to turn the waste into a source of high-value electricity," he said.
