Indonesia Relaxes Iron, Lead, and Zinc Concentrates Exports

Summary

The Indonesian government relaxed concentrate exports until May 2024, marked by the issuance of the iron, lead, and zinc concentrate export permits to PT Sebuku Iron Lateritic Ores, PT Kapuas Prima Citra, and PT Kobar Lamandau Mineral, respectively.

Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Minister Arifin Tasrif assured that the export relaxations were thoroughly considered. The government has also visited the smelter sites and assigned a team to assess and verify the progress.

"As a result, we have concluded that these companies have met the smelter construction requirements," he said in a joint working meeting with the Energy Commission of the House of Representatives (DPR) on Wednesday.
