Tianneng to Build EV Battery Plant, Recycle Facilities in Indonesia
Chinese battery manufacturer Tianneng Group plans to build an electric vehicle battery production and recycling facility in Indonesia.
Tianneng Group Vice President Jack Yang emphasized that this initiative aimed at supporting the sustainability of Indonesia's green energy ecosystem. "This plan will encourage economic and social exchanges between China and Indonesia," Yang said on Tuesday.
The Zhejiang-based company operates in three primary business sectors: new energy battery systems, resource recycling, and the modern service industry.
“Tianneng Group’s expansion in Indonesia goes beyond battery manufacturing. We intend to create opportunities for collaboration with local industries to strengthen the distribution network for SLA (sealed lead-acid), lithium-ion, and sodium-ion battery products,” Yang said.
