PHR to Construct 250 MW Solar Power Plant in Rokan Block

PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) has announced its intention to construct a solar power plant (PLTS) in the Rokan Block this year. According to PHR Corporate Secretary Rudi Ariffianto, the review process for expanding the PLTS in the work area located in Riau Province is underway.

The additional PLTS installed in the Rokan Block will have a capacity of 250 megawatts (MW), consisting of phase I of 50 MW and phase II of 200 MW. “The funding requirement for this project is US$160 million,” Rudi said on Wednesday.
