Summary

Singapore-born e-commerce enabler AnyMind acquired PT Digital Distribution Indonesia (DDI) with a total investment value of US$7.5 million.

AnyMind spokesperson Yunnie revealed that DDI would now operate as the company's subsidiary whose shares are wholly controlled by AnyMind Group. "However, at the moment, it is only for acquisition approval," she told Katadata.co.id on Monday.

AnyMind will integrate its end-to-end commerce technology, global partner network, and local e-commerce operations team with DDI's customer network in Indonesia.

AnyMind Group co-founder Kosuke Sogo said the company decided to expand into Indonesia after realizing its huge market potential. "Over the years, we have built business momentum in Indonesia through the marketing business line. The acquisition of DDI gives us an additional push to break into the e-commerce market here," he said.
