AREA31 Prepares Rp 1 Tln to Build Data Center in Depok

AREA31, a data center solution provider by PT Dunia Virtual Online (DVO), plans to spend Rp 1 trillion on building a data center in five years. Currently, the data center building located in the Cimanggis area, Depok, West Java, has completed the first phase of construction with a capacity of 600 racks.

If the capacity of the first phase has been filled, AREA31 will continue the construction of the second phase data center, which also has 600 racks. The total capacity will reach 1,200 shelves soon. The third phase will follow when the second phase is occupied.

“When the existing capacity is full, we will build more data centers again. In five years, we could invest Rp 1 trillion because the need for data centers is increasing and the market in Indonesia is very large,” PT Dunia Virtual Online (DVO) President Director Michael Alifen said in Depok, West Java, on Wednesday.
