Ruangguru Acquires Vietnam’s Mclass to Strengthen Regional Presence

Indonesian ed-tech startup Ruangguru has acquired Mclass, a leading online learning provider in Vietnam that offers live teaching solutions. Ruangguru Co-Founder Belva Devara said the acquisition was a strategic move to expand the company’s business in the Vietnamese market.

Ruangguru entered the Vietnam market in 2019 through its subsidiary, Kien Guru. “We are delighted to welcome Mclass to the Ruangguru family. Together with Kien Guru, we think Mclass’s reputation and expertise in online learning can help us offer more services and grow our business in Vietnam and Southeast Asia,” Belva said on Tuesday. He did not disclose the value of the acquisition.
