Bukalapak Partners with 500 Southeast Asia to Invest in Startups

PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) has announced a new partnership with 500 Southeast Asia III Limited Partners (LP) to fund new startups in Southeast Asia. According to the subscription agreement, this corporate action for a limited partnership interest in 500 Southeast Asia III LP took place on Apr 29. 500 Southeast Asia III LP is a venture capital firm managed by 500 Southeast Asia.

According to BUKA Director and Corporate Secretary Teddy Nuryanto Oetomo, the company has invested US$7.5 million as a limited partner in a limited partnership with 500 Southeast Asia III LP. The primary goal of this partnership is to invest in pre-seed, seed, and early-stage venture capital. “The focus will be on investing in companies with equity and/or equity-oriented securities from private companies,” Teddy said, as quoted from the information disclosure on May 4.
