DishServe Ceases Operations as Cloud Kitchen Competition Heats Up

Cloud kitchen startup DishServe has announced the closure of its business on May 1. DishServe CEO Rishabh Singhi revealed that the company could not continue operating with low margins.

"We exhausted much of our [funding] runway [on growth]. By the time we improved our margins, the runway was already too tight," he wrote on his LinkedIn account on Tuesday.

DishServe, founded in 2020, also suffered from branding, supply chain, distribution, and production problems.

In his post, Rishabh praised DishServe's core team for their excellent work. He recommended other startups to recruit its former members, such as Nikolas Novendra Ario, Sakti Anggara, Iraisha Punjabi, Kevin Carlsten Harianto, Ni Komang Sunari, and Yash N.
