Summary

Wong Solo Group subsidiary PT Halalan Thayyiban Indonesia, or HATI, has started exporting ready-to-eat meals under the MakanKu brand for Indonesian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.

The project is carried out in collaboration with Saudi Arabian company Motawifs Pilgrims for South-East Asia Countries Company (Mashariq). According to HATI president commissioner Puspo Wardoyo, the company is a caterer and food factory operator in Mecca under this partnership.

Mashariq's ordered whopping 1,275,000 packages worth Rp 66.9 billion in the first stage. "For Indonesia, the export of ready-to-eat meals for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims to Saudi Arabia is the first, so this is also a historic moment for us," he said on Friday.

The ceremony of the first batch delivery was attended by Religious Affairs Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, National Zakat Agency (Baznas) chairman Noor Achmad, and Nahdlatul Ulama secretary general Syaifullah Yusuf.
