Sharp Aims Regional Market Through New Indonesian AC Factory

SHARP
Summary

PT Sharp Electronics Indonesia operates a new factory at the Karawang International Industrial City, Karawang Regency, West Java. According to Sharp Corporation website, the factory started its production in early April and has started shipping products to various regions, including overseas. The new factory is set as the production and export hub for inverters and Plasmacluster Ion air conditioners to the Indonesian market and regional countries.

"The market for household air conditioners in Indonesia and surrounding countries is growing, driven by rapid economic growth, with demand expected to continue to increase not only in cities but also in rural areas," Sharp's management stated.

Sharp also claims the new factory can reduce its environmental impact. The roof structure allows natural light to enter during the day and dissipates heat. The factory's roof is also equipped with a solar power system that will be built to provide electricity for lighting, production lines, and other facilities.
