Indonesia's Digital Competitiveness Trend Continues to Rise

The positive trend in the digital competitiveness of Indonesia's regions continues. Digital Justice for All Indonesians report, jointly prepared by East Ventures, Katadata Insight Center (KIC), and PwC Indonesia, reveals that the digital competitiveness index of Indonesia has increased to 38.5 in 2023 from 35.2 a year earlier.
"There's a great distribution of digital adoption in all provinces [except new provinces] mapped by East Ventures for four consecutive years," Willson Cuaca, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of East Ventures, said during the launch of the EV-DCI 2023 report in Jakarta on Wednesday.
This will lay a strong foundation for Indonesia's digital infrastructure, enabling new innovations to reach all corners of the country. Wilson expressed his appreciation to the Indonesian government for the equitable digital development that has taken place under the leadership of President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo.
"With a strong and equitable digital infrastructure, growth of new innovations in all sectors can be inclusive and sustainable, and the support of all stakeholders, including investors, founders, start-ups, consumers, private companies, and state-owned enterprises, will bring Indonesia closer to achieving digital justice for all Indonesians," he added.
