Sinar Mas to Expand Private Equity Business through 01Fintech

PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA), Sinar Mas Group's financing subsidiary, has injected funds into a private equity company from Hong Kong, 01Fintech. SMMA president commissioner Indra Widjaja revealed 01Fintech's excellent track record in identifying and nurturing promising fintech companies in Southeast Asia. "We believe their expertise will play an important role in building our fintech ecosystem," he said in a written statement on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, 01Fintech founder Kenny Man revealed that SMMA would particularly utilize the company's specialization in driving synergies between business units and various fintech investments throughout the Sinar Mas Group ecosystem. "We are excited to partner with SMMA to shape the future of fintech in Southeast Asia. Together, we are committed to helping SMMA achieve its digital transformation goals and bring greater synergy to the Sinar Mas Group," he said.
