Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati appointed Amien Sunaryadi and Zainal Arifin Mochtar as the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Tax Supervisory Committee for the 2023-2026 term.

Amien Sunaryadi, who previously served as the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Deputy Chairman from 2003-2007, was also among the first batch of KPK leaders to establish the anti-graft agency.

Sri Mulyani said the Tax Supervisory Committee plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the tax system, as mandated by Law No. 28/2007 on General Provisions and Tax Procedures.

“The appointment of professional leaders as the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Tax Supervisory Committee reflects the government's commitment to strengthen the taxation sector,” she said on her Instagram account.
